Direct Action film screening: BURN
Gillo Pontecoro’s classic 1969 film about a fictional Caribbean plantation slave revolt. This film screening will help raise money to assist the contingent of more than 400 Cuban doctors working in earthquake-ravaged Haiti. Cuban medical personnel were already in Haiti before the earthquake, as part of Cuba’s international aid to other poor countries. Their humanitarian efforts have been largely ignored by the Western corporate media.
